FRIDAY

Today was relatively uneventful. I spent the day and most of the evening getting ready for this stupid final trial tommorow*. I drew the line at reciting my closing arguments in the shower - I grabbed some jeans and a sweater and went with Chris and his friend Joel to Graeme's party. We walked to where I thought it was and decided that we were mistaken about the directions (in the alley behind Shoppers) so we walked all the way back to mine to check the directions. Sure enough, we HAD been at the right address, so back we went.
At the party:
1. I took my shoes off and then remembered that I was wearing a very mismatched pair of socks.
2. I saw Heather and Steve for the first time in ages
3. Someone told me that I looked just like Shannon Doherty
4. Two people agreed in a "I didn't think it before, but now I totally see it" kind of way
5. My shoes were hidden in the cupboard out of the sink, throwing me into a small panic attack when I tried to leave at a responsible time
Now I am, of course, home and wired - to bed with a box of wheat thins and the final installment of "An Odd Body".
*I am no longer afraid of intruders - thanks to my trial ad class, I am going to be able to advocate them into submission, no problem.
