I can admit it: I was wrong

OK. At 11:40 this evening, I was pretty convinced that I knew a shitload about vampires. I love vampire movies and I have been a very excellent vampire twice for Haloween, one of those times being the best Haloween ever*. So I was pretty surprised this evening when this conversation took place:

Kate: I'm going for my walk now

Vasuda: I think you should call it your midnight constitutional

K: huh. Oh, I got a postcard from Stephanie

V: Oh, how is she?

K: She is good. She said that she is in Romania so unfortunately now is a vampire, and that she hoped that we can still be friends.

(I then launch into a list of vampire related things)..."until the sun comes up and then..."
V: a pile of salt.

K: WHAT?

OK. Who knew that when vampires come across a pile of salt, thet are compelled to count every grain? I sure as hell didn't.

I spent most of today in the Munk Centre, where I got in trouble for an empty can of coke on my desk. Awesome. Jeremy sent me lots of Craigslist missed connections. I got to watch some of ANTM, but have no idea who got voted off. I tied in my evening walk with dinner-fetching.

Today's photo-of-the-day is another alley shot - BOR-RING. I'll try to step it up tommorow.

*The best haloween ever happened in my 3rd year of undergrad. We had a break in our midterms, with two on haloween and then none until the next week, which had not happened in the previous year. We finished our exam at 4, and then Mark and I (we were the social reps on the Biochem society - awesome) came back to my house. I made him his mighty mouse costume, and finshed my vampire jacket. Then Andrea, Ben, and Phennn showed up and we all got into our co-ordinated vampire costumes. Ben and Phennn wore suits, and Andrea and I wore formalish dresses. Colin was megaman and John was the evil scientist guy from that game. We went to the Ramshead, then whatever that stupid school bar was called, then to Hess. Venue-wise, exceptionally lame but we had a great time anyways, which made it even better. Best Haloween ever.
