I can't handle reading about people crying.

I am fine when people around me cry - I feel bad for them, I want to hug them and make them feel better, but it doesn't really upset me the way that reading a description of someone crying does (or even hearing a description of it).

Relatively unrelated true story: When I was little, I was so upset by the song "On Top of Spaghetti" that my mom had to make up a whole extra verse about how the meatball rolled into the garden and turned into a meatball tree so the song had a happy ending. I think I may have mentioned this before. When I recently asked her for the extra verse, she just mocked me for being oversensitive. Thank goodness she didn't describe anyone crying, I would have made her point for her.

Anyways, I was just reading my secret book at work as a quick study break and one of the characters burst into tears. Now I'm going to be out of sorts for the rest of the morning.
