Tonight I got lost in the docks area looking for my ultimate game, which was lame (the getting lost part - the ultimate game was lame for all the reasons that any ultimate game is lame, and was also fun), then I came home and watched "Art School Confidential" with Neill. It was pretty bad but it was a fun night nonetheless.
At the A&P across the street from my house I have witnessed two unpleasant experiences in the last two days. Yesterday, I was putting my stuff up on the belt thing and a 30-ish man walked up behind me and put his full basket on top of the pile of empty baskets, and walked away. Then an older woman came and got in line behind me. Then the guy came back and claimed that "he was actually in front of her in line", pointing to the basket that was actually now physically behind the woman. She looked totally confused but moved out of the way because the guy was so insulted. Awful. Today's just involved two middle-aged men yelling loudly about the merits of a divorce once your wife starts to gain weight and the awful pain-in-the-ass that is the divorce settlement, and how they both knew that their child support was actually going to their wife's "nails". Then one of the guys turned around and comforted me by assuring me that not all women were evil. It was intense.
Finally, BBC Radio 7 is featuring a series by the woman who wrote "Eats, shoots, and leaves". I'm going to listen to it (and maybe improve my somewhat torrid grammar) - it's in the archives.
