It's important to have a plan

In case you sleep in. In case you run into someone you don't want to see when you are out. In case you set the house on fire. In case someone breaks in and tries to poison you with arsenic or strangle you in their leather-gloved hands.

The radio dramas I am listening to before bed are FREAKING ME OUT. I love them: all Agatha Christie and P.D. James, but seriously. Some nights, like tonight, Vasuda doesn't come home until super late, and I huddle in my bed with my hood pulled up, listening to these stupid things on Radio 7 and waiting to die.

What, you ask, is my plan of action to defend myself against the inevitable appearance of my unknown assailant?

I am going to throw the cat at them.
