I slept through my alarm this morning, which was bad because I had a trial. Luckily, there are very few decisions to be made when you have to wear a suit, so I was out of the door in 10 minutes.
Out of the door and waiting for a cab like everyone else with a place to be this post-snowfall-morning. I finally gave up and tottered up the street to the bus-stop in my unfortunate knee-binding-skirt-suit (also my "lucky" suit; unforutate that I have a "lucky suit"? fuck you) until I saw the bus careening down Harbord, upon which I uttered an enthusiastic "This is Bullshit!" (to my approving ageing neighbour, the unforunate though appreciative witness to earlier "Kate missing her bus" events - see October posts) ('Bullshit with accompanying 'point at the ground' motions), hiked the skirt thigh-ward (under my 3/4-length coat) and sprinted. Shamelessly.
When we finally made it to court, the usual path led us to a withdrawal of charges. I took transit back home from Finch and Downsview.
I slept this afternoon, to make up for trial prep. I then drew with Gill and we made dinner for Kathryn and Steph, along with a killer apple crisp for dessert.
Kathryn, Steph and I went to the Brunny to complete the night in good style, and now I am home.
Things haven't changed much since last term.
