My sweet Sorrel boots

I went home at the beginning of reading week to visit my parents, and I wore my "winter shoes" home - my puma sneakers. My mom, in true mom fashion, was angered. "How can you possibly think that those are winter shoes?" She handed me a massive pair of Sorrel boots on my way out the door and forced me to promise that I would wear them.

The Impact of the Promise:
Coming from a good Roman Catholic Irish family, my parents use "The Guilt" to their full advantage, and I feel its weight full-force. I promised I would wear the things, and have worn them every day that I have had them - and THEY ARE AWESOME! I actually started walking to and from school because the puddles and slush are adding a dimension of pure childhood joy to my day.

In other news, I was stuck in a room with a woman who needed to tell me all about the Illuminati and Free Masons control over the environment and energy fields via satellite. For an hour. I need to work on my "smooth exit" skills.
