It's that time again

The time of year where I make my annual trek to the Etobihome to act like I'm 15, stay up way too late watching Muppet Christmas carols, and get drunk with my family.

I'll save most of this stuff for my "year-in-review" post closer to New Year's, but I will say this much - this year, more than any other, I have been overwhelmed with admiration for my friends and family. I feel like everyone has accomplished massive things this year and I'm proud to be associated with all of them.

After finishing up at the office this morning I will be boarding the westbound train, speeding home to the basement, endless hours of CSI, and a shitload of knitting - my mother has been promising hats to family members with abandon. Good thing I treated myself to a sweet new pair of bamboo needles.

Gordon has to stay at the Clinton Manor as he is too excitable and spazzy and will likely escape and eat The General.
