Good things that happened today:
1. I managed to run onto the southbound subway this morning just as the doors were closing, getting me to work a full five minutes faster than if I had to wait for the next one.
2. My rental car for my Scarborough trip was upgraded from a crappy coupe to some sort of hybrid sedan, which meant that I didn't have to fill it up with gas and also meant that I got to take my inaugural trip driving a hybrid - exciting! No keys!
3. On the drive home I managed to catch the last half of the award thing for the Charles Taylor prize for literary non-fiction on the radio. It make me think that I would much rather listen to awards shows on the radio than watch them on television.
Regular things that happened today:
1. I ripped my nylons in Scarborough. I also tore the stitching in the slit at the back of my skirt because I got too excited because I was outside in the sun and, forgetting that I was all suited up, took a running jump over a large puddle in the parking lot with seam-ripping results.
