So after dinner at Phil's BBQ and "Late Night At The Fringe" at The Transac, Mark, Jared, Jared's friend's roomate Lindsay and I went to Paupers for a drink on the patio. It was unseasonably cold.
Lindsay was telling us about living in Niagara on the Lake, and more specifically about the prevalence of ghost stories in town (I am mildly creeped out but the idea of ghosts (as opposed to EXTREMELY creeped out at the idea of psycho killers hiding under my bed, in my closet, in my kitchen, on my balcony, etc.)). 1*. She went on to describe to us her own personal ghost experience. 4. Mark then went on to describe a ghost experience at his family's house, including the story of the Man Behind the Ghost. 5. Jared then tells the story of a friend who didn't believe in ghosts until he lived in a certain house, and then quickly changed his mind after a set of noisy/eerie incidents. 5.5. This was followed by a general discussion of the things that ghosts do, such as turn lights on and off. 5.6. I lamely, quietly and mostly jokingly suggest that we follow this discussion with something less scary. 5.5.
After we finished, Mark walked me home. We got into the apartment and I walked into the kitchen and I noticed that, inexplicably, the freezer door was open. 9.9999. Mark fails to offer a plausible explanation but patiently waits in the hallway while I perform the then-warrented (and very quick and efficient) search of the apartment for psycho killers. 9.981. Mark leaves to go home. 10.00.
It's only one of the ones in the living room.
