I see you've been busy, my pretty

Though I do like alone time, I grew up with two sisters and am used to/really enjoy company as well. As a result, when I don't actually have company, I tend to invent/imagine it.

Hence my office nursery, where all my little plant buddies hang out.

Hence also my belief that the massive, armored and terrifyingly huge spiders that live on the outside of my window are my buddies. Query whether I would feel the same way if they were on the inside of my window.

At any rate, my buddies outside have been crazy busy catching every fly in the city of Toronto over the past few days. I like to think that we are of one mind when it comes to productivity - when I am working hard, they are working hard, and when I am resting from work, they are eating the products of their work. As you can see, they have a lot of eating to do.

You can also take these photos as a sort of naturally-derived graph depicting how much resting I have to do.

I'm only slightly concerned that, once my buddies have eaten all of these flies, they will have gained the strength and/or body mass to get into the office so we can bro down for real. I sincerely hope this does not happen.
