This is what I thought to myself yesterday.
I have tried this before with very limited success, however, so I knew that I had to start small and build some confidence. Therefore, I went to the grocery store and bought the following things:
a bag of apples
a loaf of bread
peanut butter
yoghurt
honey almond granola
My plan was a simple one - to take all this stuff to work and hide it, like my secret shame, in a drawer (fridge for the yoghurt, relax) - people at work bring real big person lunches with variation and vegetables. I'm not ready for that yet, and I'm not ready for them to know that I'm not ready. My carefully thought out plan was to eat yoghurt with the granola for breakfast every day, and pb sandwiches with an apple for lunch. Redundant but effective.
This would have worked perfectly if I had remembered to bring all this stuff to work this morning. Predictably, I forgot the yoghurt (hiding in the fucking fridge, right), but I also forgot that I had lunch plans today, so it all worked out. I just had a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast instead.
